Learn how to create a beautiful textured ring by sawing it from sterling silver sheet. As the technique of making the main body of your ring is the same for many different designs you are able to choose what style of ring you make, together with the height and texture - this may be a spinner ring (with the addition of one or two loose silver spinning rings), a ring featuring a heart or other shape, a stone in a bezel cup, an overlapping ring ....... the choices are endless! You will be shown how to size and shape your ring, along with the key techniques of hand-sawing, filing and soldering.  At each stage of the process there will be an introduction and demonstration of the techniques required to make the ring.   The price includes the use of all tools and equipment, and refreshments (tea, coffee, soft drinks and biscuits).  Please bring a packed lunch as this is not included in the day The price does not include the cost of materials.  All the sterling silver required to make your jewellery can be bought on the day using card or cash. The main band of sterling silver will cost around £15, and there will be style choices for the spinning components which will vary between £4 and £12. The workshops are for a maximum of 4 people.  Participants must be 16 years and above unless accompanied by an adult – please contact me to discuss this. Please wear old clothes, and for health and safety no open toe shoes and long hair to be tied back. Free car parking is available for workshop attendees, details will be sent in the booking confirmation email.
